Publisher Ownership Confirmation – A Step-by-Step Guide

At Bitmedia, we verify every publisher who wishes to monetize their traffic through our advertising network. This process ensures our advertisers receive only high-quality traffic — which directly influences the competitive CPM rates we offer our publishers.

Follow this guide to confirm ownership of your website and start earning with Bitmedia.

Step 1: Add Your Website to the Bitmedia Dashboard

or navigate to: Publisher Sites

  • Click the + New Source button to add your site.

Step 2: Fill in Your Site Information

In the form:

  • Enter your Website URL
  • Specify Monthly Page Views
  • Select up to 5 categories that best describe your content
  • Click Continue

Step 3: Define Language and Traffic Sources

Next, provide:

  • The Main Website Language
  • Your Top Geos – countries your traffic mostly comes from
  • Read and accept the Partnership Terms
  • Click Submit Application

Step 4: Verify Your Website Ownership

You must verify that you own the website you've submitted. Bitmedia offers three verification methods:

  • Upload a verification file to the root directory of your domain
  • Add a meta tag inside your website's <head> HTML section
  • Insert a DNS TXT record in your domain's DNS configuration

After completing one of these steps, click Verify source now in the dashboard.

Our crawler will scan your website to confirm the placement of the verification code. Once the code is verified, your website will proceed to moderation by our team. After carefully reviewing its compliance with our requirements and its relevance to our advertisers, your website will either be approved or declined.
