How to track conversions in Bitmedia Advertiser's dashboard - Step-by-Step Guide

Tracking conversions in the Bitmedia.io dashboard is an important indicator for our advertisers to measure the success of their crypto banner ad campaigns.

Why Do You Need to Track Conversions?

  1. Performance Evaluation: Conversion tracking allows advertisers to assess the effectiveness of their ads, ad groups, and campaigns. It provides insights into which elements are driving valuable user actions.
  2. ROI Analysis: Advertisers can calculate their Return on Investment (ROI) by analyzing the conversion data. Understanding the relationship between advertising spend and the outcomes helps make informed decisions about budget allocation.
  3. Optimization Opportunities: By identifying the best-performing ads and channels that lead to conversions, advertisers can optimize their strategies. This involves sharing more budget with high-performing sources and adjusting or discontinuing underperforming ones.
  4. Data-Driven Decisions: Conversion data empowers advertisers to make data-driven decisions. Instead of relying on assumptions or general trends, they can tailor their strategies based on the specific actions that contribute to business goals.
  5. Efficient Resource Allocation: Advertisers can assign resources more efficiently by focusing on channels and campaigns that generate meaningful conversions. This prevents the wastage of resources on avenues that don't contribute significantly to the desired outcomes.

How It Works:

  • Define a valuable conversion action in your Bitmedia account.
  • Navigate to Advertiser > Campaign > Ad Group > Conversions section.
Advertiser's dashboard conversation section
  • Click "Add conversion" and complete the required fields: name, description, type, and event ID.
New conversation
  • Choose Client Side JS Code or Server Side URL integration.
  • Save the conversion event.
  • Click "Get code" and copy General code along with either Client Side URL or Server Side URL.

How to fill get code
  • Implement General code into the page body and insert tracking code inside the event trigger.

Integration on Advertiser's Website:

Next steps include incorporating the conversion integration code into the advertiser's website or server. The advertiser is required to initiate a call to our code, recently copied, during the relevant event triggered by the user. For instance, if we've chosen the"Conversion type Registration," we should integrate our conversion code after the registration form is submitted or when the user clicks the Registration button on the advertiser's website.

Conversion type Registration

This ensures that our code is activated as soon as the user completes the targeted action, such as registering on the advertiser's site. The details of this event (Conversion) will then be automatically displayed in the Conversion log section.
