In-App Ads: Introducing a New Feature for Advertisers and Publishers

Bitmedia.io presented an innovative feature designed to enhance the advertising experience for our users. Now we can attract a broader range of advertisers interested in In-App traffic. This new update is specifically developed for Publishers looking to monetize their applications (if they are available on Apple’s AppStore and Google Play Market). Here’s how it enriches both the publisher and advertiser experience on Bitmedia.io.

Application Monetization Feature Overview:

Publishers now have the ability to add a new source by providing a link to their application in either the Apple AppStore or Google Play Market. Our system will validate these links to ensure they are legitimate and lead to the actual application. This validation process includes verifying the authenticity of the store and the accessibility of the application link. Once validated, the source will be marked as ‘In-App’ in our database. This allows for the generation of a specific In-App Ad Unit code for advertising blocks created under this source.

How to add an Application to Bitmedia Publisher Network

  1. Registration / Login 

You should follow the link https://bitmedia.io/app/sign-up and create an account on our platform.

  1. Find a list of submitted websites

You should follow the link https://bitmedia.io/app/publisher/sites

and press the button “+ New source”.

  1. Insert a link to your Application 

Then you have to point out the link to your application in the field “website URL”, monthly pageviews and a category of your application.

  1. Choose your target GEOs

Then you have to indicate the main website language and top 5 GEOs.

  1. Submit for Approval

Afterwards, you’ll see this notification on your screen.

Then our system should approve your app. If it happened you would see (following the link https://bitmedia.io/app/publisher/sites) that the status of your source is active.

Add Ad Units to Publisher’s Dashboard

Then you should add ad units using this guide https://bitmedia.io/guides/publisher/how-to-create-unit or follow this instruction: 

  1. Access Dashboard: Go to the publisher’s dashboard and click the “Ad Unit” button on the right side.
  2. Initiate Ad Unit Creation: Click the blue “+New Ad Unit” button on the lower left side to start.
  3. Name Your Ad Unit: Enter a descriptive name for the ad unit.
  4. Select Source URL: Choose a valid source URL for the ad unit.
  5. Choose Ad Unit Type: Regular or Adaptive
  6. Continue: Click the “Continue” button.
  7. Select Ad Unit Size: Pick the size that fits your design and layout. Click “Continue.”
  8. Set Up Backup Ads: Choose from options like Bimedia referral, Google AdSense, HTML code, or HTML and JS code. Click “Continue.”
  9. Get and Implement Code: Copy the provided ad unit code.
  10. Paste Code: Insert the code into the desired section of your website via the content management system or web page editor.
  11. Finalize Setup: Click “Finish Setup” or a similar button to complete and start displaying ads.

As soon as you have done this, inform your publisher manager Ivan (email: [email protected], Telegram: @Ivan_Bitmedia_IO) about it. He will create program codes for each ad unit separately and you will have to implement these codes in your application.
