Conversion Tracking Tool for Bitmedia Advertisers

Conversion tracking is a free tool that allows you to observe the actions people take after interacting with your ads: purchasing products, subscribing to newsletters, calling your business, or downloading an app. When a user performs a valuable action specified by the advertiser, a conversion is recorded.

How Conversion Tracking Works

To get started, you need to define a conversion action in your Bitmedia account – a user action that is valuable to you. You’ll need to access your account, navigate to the “Advertiser” section, select a “Campaign”, choose an “Ad Group”, and then access the “Conversions” section in its settings

Now we can create our first conversion.

To do this, click “Add conversion” and see the following window:

Here we fill in the name of the conversion (Conversion name), description (Description), type of conversion (Conversion type) – there are only 4 types:

  • Landing view
  • Registration
  • Purchase
  • Custom

Then we should fill in the ID of the event (Target event ID) – an arbitrary unique value .

We also have the opportunity to choose the type of integration of conversion codes – on the Client (Client Side JS Code) or on the Server (Server Side URL).

After that:

  • Click Copy – and your conversion integration code is copied to the memory buffer;
  • Click Save – and your conversion event is saved on our platform.

Put Conversion Code on Website

Now that we’ve created the conversion event and obtained the integration code, what’s the next step?

The next stage involves installing the conversion integration code on the advertiser’s website or server.

To accomplish this, the advertiser needs to implement a call to our code, which they just copied, triggered by the corresponding event initiated by the user.

For instance, if we’ve selected ‘Conversion type: Registration’ on the screen above, we should now add a call to our conversion code after the user completes the registration form or clicks the Registration button on the advertiser’s website.

This way, as soon as a client registers or takes a targeted action on the advertiser’s site, our code will be triggered, and we will be notified that the conversion event has occurred.

This information will automatically appear in the “Conversion log” section

And on the Statistics by “Advertising Group” tab in the “Statistics by source” section
