Bitmedia Has Integrated Direct Ads Functionality to its Publishers Platform

What exactly is it, and how do you hang it?

Direct Advertising allows a customer to display adverts on their website from third-party advertisers with whom the Publisher has direct arrangements.

User Story

For instance, I am the site's proprietor. I needed to monetize my visits, so I joined Bitmedia.io and put their ad units on my site, for which I get a share of the revenue.

The Advertiser approaches me on a regular basis and demands that his banner be placed in the advertising space that Bitmedia currently monetizes for me.

Yet, the Advertiser has special requirements, such as just European desktop traffic, German-speaking customers, and so on. On one side, they pay a lot for direct placement. But what about the remainder of my traffic that isn't required by this advertising?

In such cases, direct advertising is available. I set up Bitmedia direct advertisements by selecting the appropriate targeting by country, device, language, and cappings, then uploading Advertiser creatives and launched this direct advertising campaign. What happens next?

Bitmedia displays my Advertiser's Direct Ads first, based on the parameters I provide, and all other traffic is monetized by its advertisers. As a consequence, I was able to establish a deal with both the direct Sponsor and Bitmedia, allowing me to sell my visitors more profitably as the site's owner.

Setup details

Only Publishers have the opportunity to use this functionality.

Go to the “Advertiser” section

Go to the “All Campaigns” tab

Press the button “+ NEW CAMPAIGN”

Choose “Campaign type” - Direct

Enter the name of the campaign and click “CONTINUE”

Enter the name of the adgroup and click “CONTINUE”

Select “Advanced Placement”, set up targeting and click ”CONTINUE”

Select ad type and add creatives

Return to the “All Campaigns” tab and activate the “Direct campaign”

All campaign results will be available under the “Campaign statistics” page.
